Thus, both India and Australia have continuously sought to better improve their relation. According to Indian Foreign Minister S. M. Krishna, the interactions between the two countries are vital in order to ensure the safety of Indian residents living in the country. It is interesting to note that the two countries relationship had problems last year, as a lot of Indians were affected by the changes made in Australia's immigration policies. However, this one was quickly patched up by the two nations.
Another country that Australia is eying to establish relations with is China. It should be noted that in recent years, China's economy has significantly grown in size. This in turn, allowed many of citizens to travel abroad. And one of the biggest destinations for many Chinese travelers would be Australia. Thus, Australia has put in a great amount of effort to maintain the current relation that it has with the country.
Aside from the two mentioned nations, Australia is also continuously establishing international relations with other countries. For the Asian region, it has ties with almost all of the countries in the southeast, including the Philippines, Vietnam, and Singapore, all of whom have significant residents in the land down under.
