The level of Australian migration is a real high that its effect is felt even to the smallest area of life. While the country continuously acquire people from different parts of the world, they also harvest changes on their nature, economic and social areas. Immigration is a part of the country's program, mainly to promote their country for economic purposes. And it's rightfully doing its job. Australia is a part of the G20 and stayed intact not minding the presence of the global financial crisis.
However, the total effect of the massive immigration to Australia is sometimes the hottest issue of some dispute between the government and specific organizations. It is criticized because of what it can bring to the sustainability of the environment and of the people. Though the effect isn't that huge, experts are still alarmed. And so, the government became more strict with the immigration policies, making the new settlers know what their responsibilities are.
Australian economy is the main target of the immigration program. It all started in the Post-war era. Due to the country's low birth rate, they launched massive immigration programs to fill their deficiency. They also use this program for security. These immigrants now make up the majority of Australia's workforce. The lack of skilled workers is being addressed through migration. Some critics claim that more immigration means more jobs to be stolen. But the government opposed this by saying, since there are more people coming to the country, there are more demands needed and that means more supplier which will eventually lead to more jobs.
According to one researcher, there are thousands of low-cost IT workers entering Australia who are undermining the job prospects of new computer science graduates and reducing salaries in the IT industry. However, other research sponsored by DIAC has found that Australia’s structured labour market along with the larger number of immigrants with higher education levels has tended to raise employment levels for Australians who are relatively unskilled. Housing also became profitable because of the growing number of settlers looking and building properties in Australian cities.
The most notable negative effect of Australian migration is seen on their environment. The environmental group, Sustainable Population Australia, believes that the government can't go overpopulated. First, the resources starts to dwindle and second, foreign nationals are adding up to the devastation of nature. The organization thinks that by controlling population, they will find aid for climate change. Discipline and respect for the Mother Nature is something that immigrants should possess and observe before going to Australia.
The social impact of massive Australian migration is hard to restrain. Australia is now a multicultural country because of the growing number of foreign settlers coming into them. The kind of lifestyle of each Australians vary depending on what nationality that influence them. Or sometimes, certain group of race is starting and pondering their own community. But still, any races living inside the borders of Australia has the responsibility to act right, base on Australian law.

The greatest thing that can can happen to your visa for Australia is when you become a permanent Australian citizen. Achieving this will give you right to different services, services that are only exclusive to people who have been in Australia since birth or for a certain period. Social Security services and medical and health care are examples of such services. Not all visa can give you the chance to work for a long time in Australia. Not all can give you all the time to explore the Land of Oz. If you want to see the most of Australia, settling there for good is the best thing to do.
There are three possible ways to become a citizen of Australia. By birth, by descent and by grant. If you were not born in Australia or don't have any relatives with an Australian descent, a grant is what you need.
You can only apply for an Australian citizenship if you are already a permanent resident of the country, aging 16 years and above, been in Australia for at least four years, of a good character, has a basic knowledge in English, informed of your responsibilities and privileges a a citizen and has a strong interest to live and maintain relationship with Australia. Along with these are your original documents, copied and certified. You must also determine your eligibility and complete and lodge your application.
To become a permanent Australian citizen, of course, you need an Australia visa. Whether a temporary or permanent, you can become an Australian citizen. Your application wouldn't be recognized unless you have a visa of specific class. It will be your key if you wish to enter and leave Australia whenever you want to. In the initial 12 months, you should not have left Australia for another country. Make sure that before you apply for an Australian citizenship, the length of your stay is exactly 4 years or else, your application will be denied.
Before you get the grant, there are several test you should pass. You will be assessed by the immigration department if you are deserving of an Australian citizenship depending on the type of visa you applied for. Usually, you are assessed through your character or how well you were able to adopt with the Australian environment and lifestyle. This will take effect after your two years of stay in the country.
On the time after your permanent visa is granted, you will be given plenty of rights and privileges. You can do an unlimited travel to any states of the country and indefinite stay on your arrival provided that your entry took place before the expiry date. You will also experience government services just like what original Australians gets.
Commonly, the evidence that you will receive when your application is successful is the label seen on your passport.

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship is an Australian government agency that is responsible for the laws and regulation about immigration arrangements, border control, citizenship, ethnic affairs and multicultural affairs. Anybody from the corners of the world, will only be allowed for immigration to Australia after passing from this department. DIAC's job is to ensure everyone of an open, accountable, fair and reasonable immigration laws. With these laws, migrating to Australia is made-easy.
The history of Australia's Department of Immigration and Citizenship started after the World War II. They were formed after the country launched a massive immigration program. Their first name in 1945 was Federal Department of Immigration carrying a slogan saying, “populate or perish”. The department became the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs in 2001. And after six years, the agency's name was changed to now Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
They are imposing several laws concerning Australian migration, a good example is the asylum seekers and refugees. DIAC is providing solution to some immigration problems like this. Asylum seekers are getting the appropriate migration and settlement services even though it is a fact that what they did is illegal. A variety of community-based services is given to them to cater their needs. However, asylum seekers ans refugees are denied of the access to some services until the government grant it to them.
The goal of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship is to manage the lawful and orderly entry and stay of people in Australia and promote a society which values Australian citizenship, appreciates cultural diversity and enable migrants to participate equitably. They are committed to provide a safe and trouble free Australian immigration.
DIAC is also working on Australia's border control. They have the task of monitoring and protecting the ends of their country. With an effective border control legal and illegal immigration is regulated. The movement of citizens is also controlled. DIAC also collect excise tax, prevent smuggling of drugs, weapons, endangered species and other hazardous materials. They also have the power to control and the spread of human or animal diseases.
The status of multicultural affairs is also on DIAC's hands. To make the lives of new-migrants peaceful and safe, they will be protected by the department by guarding their rights through specific anti-racial discrimination laws. Migrants are assured of equal treatments. It wouldn't matter if they came from a rowdy and and disease-stricken country.
So if you are constructing a plan of migrating to Australia illegally, think again. The Department of Immigration can trace you, that is their job. You should always know that it is better if you will choose the proper and legal process of migration and visa application. There's nothing more fulfilling when you achieved what you want in the right and legal process.

Definitely one of the must see tourist spots in Australia is the Great Barrier Reef. Your visa for Australia is useless without a dive or even just a boat ride around the reef. And you will find out soon enough that it will be a very memorable experience.
The Great Barrier Reef can be considered as one of Australia's biggest attractions, both figuratively and literally. The reef spans for more than 2,600 km around the Australian coast. And it stretches for more than ten kilometers out to the sea. The coral formation is indeed so massive that it can be seen in outer space. The reef is dotted by many small islands, some of which have since been turned into resorts.
The main feature and attraction of the reef is, of course, its sea life. The reef abounds in many commercial food fishes that are harvested annually. Aside from that, many unique tropical fishes can be found in the living in the reefs. Sharks and dolphins also frequent the area, as well as turtles, who make the nearby beaches their spawning grounds. Many other interesting creatures have made the reef their home.
Because of the large amount of animal life in the reef, tourism has become a major industry in the state. And there are many activities that you can do either in or out of the water. Luckily, you can avail of them at very affordable prices.
Diving and snorkeling are still the top favorites when going to the reef. Snorkeling is best suited for those who just want to get a good view of reef animals from above. For the more adventurous one, you have a choice of going for a skin dive or a scuba dive. Scuba dives are good for exploring not only the reef itself, but also for exploring the many ship wrecks in the area. No need to worry about diving gear since plenty of shops around the reef area will provide you with such equipments, though you can still bring in your own. For novices, there are also many introductory courses for you in the reef.
If you are not that too keen about getting yourself wet, then you can still tour the Barrier Reef in a boat. There are plenty of tour boats that leave for the reef daily from Queensland (where most of the tourist activities are based). These tour boats often head for shallower parts of the reef where you can see the creatures below without having to go into the water. Some tour boats even have glass viewing windows on the underside to better give you the view as if you are indeed underwater. Another tour boat attraction is traveling with dolphins that frequent the area.
And if you get tired from all that exploring, you can book for a room on the resorts that are located on the shore or the nearby islands. Another way to relax while touring the reef is by booking for a cruise. You have the choice of the usual luxury cruise or feel like a millionaire and rent a yacht, which is actually quite affordable.
After your tour of the reef, not only will you have the time of your life, but also find a greater appreciation for its natural beauty.

Definitely one of the best things that can happen to you with your travel visa to Australia is getting to know its numerous wildlife. The country is home to many interesting and unique animals. Even if you are not a scientist and just a plain tourist, you will definitely find this very interesting.
Perhaps the most unique aspect of Australian fauna are the abundance of marsupials. These are mammals that carry their babies in a pouch. In fact, all of marsupials are located in Australia (except for the opposum, which is found in the US). Because of this, they have become the major animals in the continent.
The kangaroo is perhaps the most well known Australian animal. In fact, it is considered as the national animal and is featured in the country's coat of arms. Contrary to popular belief, the name “kangaroo” doesn't actually mean “I don't understand you” in the local Aboriginal languages. Instead it is derived from the Aboriginal word for the grey kangaroo. And it is interesting to note also that far from being endangered, as many think, the animal is in fact very numerous in the country.
The kangaroo has also been part of the daily Australian life. In fact, you can see the kangaroo being used as a mascot for many local companies, like Qantas Airlines. In some places, kangaroos are eaten as a delicacy, not only by the native Aborigines, but also other Australians as well. Not to worry though, as these are the ones being bred specially for that purpose. Also some young kangaroos can be kept as pets, though this is only allowed if the mother had died. Pet owners are also required to return them in once they have become harder to raise.
Another interesting, if somewhat cute looking, animal is the koala. Many people call the animal the koala bear, which is due to the fact that it actually looks like a stuffed teddy bear. However, unlike the kangaroo, koalas are considered to be threatened and, thus, are a subject of much conservation effort. This is compounded by the fact that koala will only eat the leaves of the eucalyptus tree, which is only found in the continent and now in dwindling numbers. Because of this, people are not allowed to keep koalas as pets, and that those who have them must return them immediately to proper authorities.
Aside from the land, the waters of Australia is also teemed with so much animal life. The many river systems that flow in the continent is home to many commercially harvested food fish, like trout, salmon and perch. Larger animals like the alligator also make the rivers their home.
But perhaps the biggest home to aquatic life is the Great Barrier Reef, which circles most of the continent. In fact, most of the fish species found in Australia are located in the waters surrounding the reef. Many popular aquarium species can be found here, as well as large sharks. The reef is also home to many kinds of crabs, lobster and prawns which are harvested for food by residents.

An Australia tour wouldn't be complete without a visit to the city of Canberra. The city boasts many places that you can visit, all that you need is an immigration visa to Australia. And as with any other places in the continent it has its fair share of outdoors activities for the eager tourist.
But before you head on to decide what to do there, here are some basic things about the city. Contrary to what most foreigners think, Canberra, not Sydney, is the capital of Australia. The notion may have come from Sydney being more prominent in the international scenes, having hosted many world events, like the 2000 Olympics. However, the city does have its fair share of major events.
Canberra is the eight largest city in Australia, with a population of close to 400,000 people. Unlike most Australian cities, its layout was already determine during the initial planning stage of its development. And it is still being followed ever since. If you try to follow all the main roads, you will find out soon enough that the city is arranged in a wheel pattern leading to the central district.
Probably the best known attractions in the city are its numerous museums. Being the seat of the country's government, the various different departments based there have museums chronicling not only their history, but also the country's history as well. These are definitely a good start for anyone who what to learn about Australian history.
There are also many independent museums that you can visit, with each focusing on a different aspect of Australia. If you are taking your kids along with you, try taking them to the Dinosaur Museum. They will definitely enjoy seeing the various dinosaur skeletons that are displayed. There are also other interesting fossils, such as the so called “marsupial lion” showcased in this museum. If you want something different, then head to Questacon. What make this museum unique is that most of the exhibits displayed are actually interactive, meaning your kids will definitely love tinkering with them during their visit. The Australian War Memorial is also a must see to include in your itinerary. The Memorial is a tribute to all the soldiers who bravely defended the country during the war periods of World Wars I and II.
On the other hand, if you want something a bit more livelier, Canberra also have many venues for different performances. The Canberra Theater and Playhouse screens performances made by top singers, orchestras and stage actors from all over the world. And if you are lucky enough, you might also be able to catch the Stonefest, a yearly musical festival in the University of Canberra. The festival is a week long activity not only of the students from the university but also the general public as well.
For those interested in more fast paced activities, the city also has several facilities for sports events that are open to the public. Skating rinks are found in many parts of the city. And if you want to catch some exciting Rugby action, head to the Canberra Stadium.
As you travel around the city, you will be able to find many things more to do in Canberra. And not too long, you will agree that it definitely does deserve being the capital of Australia.

Aside from Sydney, Perth is another must see city if you are planning of immigration to Australia. And if you are on a tight budget (the pricey food in Sydney will surely take much out of your wallet), the city will be very much to your liking. There are many activities that you can do here that are relatively free while still being enjoyable.
If you are quite active and love a bit of exercise, then there are many must go destinations in Perth for you. And as have been said, these are quite very affordable. All you need to shell out is a parking fee and the occasional entrance fee (no more than ten dollars).
To start with, you can take a hike at the Bibbulmun walk trail near Kalamundi. This one will definitely get you in tip top shape as you will need to walk for almost 1000 kilometers! This is actually the longest trail in the entire world today. It is definitely an ideal challenge for backpackers and there is no need to worry about where to stay along the way. There are several towns and camp sites that you can stop over for the night and replenish your supplies. If you are really bold enough, you can complete the whole course in about six to eight weeks.
If you want something a bit more fast paced, then you can get a ride in Munda Biddi's bike trail. This one is almost the same length as Bibbulmun, but you traverse it with a bike (motorized vehicles are not allowed). The trail will take you through several forests where you can hone your off road skills to your liking. There are also long gentle slopes which you can take on a more leisurely manner. And as with any long distance trails, you can replenish yourself at several stopovers and enjoy the hospitality of the townsfolk there.
If you are not for a long trip, then you can spend a day at the John Forrest National Park. Here you can organize picnics and have a short hike of your own through the many trails in the park. There are still many outdoor activities that you can do while at the park, such as bird watching and boating. And while at it, you will also be able to get up close with kangaroos in their natural habitat.
Another interesting attraction that you can do while at Perth is to go fishing at Palm Beach in Rockingham. Here you can either cast your line on the shore or join others in fishing trips further down the sea. And that's not all that you can do in this town, as Rockingham boasts of an aquatic adventure you will surely like. Dolphin watching and scuba diving are two of the most common ones you can do here. If you want something more relaxing, you can just lie down and sunbathe at the fine sands of the beach.
To cap your adventure at Perth, you can head to Cottleshoe Beach to get a nice view of the sunset. The setting is definitely spectacular and great for those romantic moments that you always dream of. And its definitely a nice way to end your day.

Food is definitely one of the most needed thing by any person. And compared to other countries, Australia offers a wide variety of cuisines for your plate because of massive immigration to Australia. Some kinds might get a little while to get used to, but once you do, you will definitely find them very stomach filling indeed.
Due to different ethnical backgrounds of the people living in the continent, the Australian cuisine has many elements of the menus of many countries. Asians are the biggest influence in the Aussie table. You will see many similarities with Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese food, since many descent from such nationalities. Greek and Italian influences come in next, making good use of the abundant marine life in the country. Australians also borrow heavily from British menus in their choices.
One particular influence that is becoming more and more apparent comes from the native aborigines. Though it is still quite novel, even to some locals, Aboriginal ingredients, such as spices and herbs, are becoming increasingly part of many chefs' recipes. And those that have tasted them definitely have a positive remark on this innovation.
Many of the ingredients in the local cuisine are quite familiar with every diner. Meats are very much a favorite in the country. And the variety of meats are plenty. Beef and pork are by far the most common, followed by lamb and sheep. However, the country also feasts in some “exotic” (to foreigners at the least) meats. Alligators and kangaroos are also favorites, as their menu. Notably, the demand on kangaroo meat has gone so high that many farms are now being set up in the country for the purpose of rearing them much like cattle.
And because of the Australians' love for meat, the barbecue, or barbie, as they call it, is indeed very popular. The barbie is in fact a very good occasion for friends to gather around and share stories will waiting for the meat to cook over the grill. And aside from the usual beef and pork steaks, the above mentioned kangaroo is also now a staple.
Notably, Australians are not above the rest of the world when it comes to fast food. In fact, Aussies are some of the largest consumers of fast food. Which is very fitting, considering the distance that many travel during their work, and thus have no time to prepare a decent meal.
Regarding drinks, Australians definitely have a thing for alcoholic drinks. Beer is the most consumed, followed by wine and other hard drinks. But that doesn't mean that they don't have healthy lifestyles. In fact milk also rivals beer in the beverage category.
So no matter what kind of stomach you have, Australia definitely have something for you. And looking for something to eat in the country is definitely an adventure that you would want to do.

Visa for Australia is expected to boom again after the global financial crisis. The crisis is slowly walking away from the earth. Not too soon, people from different parts of the world will be visiting Australia not for relaxation but for employment.
Australia is one of those countries who are able to withstand the crisis. Even if they managed to stay firm against that crisis, Australia also felt the pain of its blows. In one point this year, there have been cries from people saying that the government should heed the increasing unemployment rate. And they did it by tightening skilled visa immigration. Something that somehow disappointed many Australian dreams.
Job opportunities in Australia is always seen in good condition. They always hire skilled workers from different countries to fill their shortage. And millions of laborer attended this call. Now, the majority of Australia's workforce is made up of immigrants. Natural Australians have complaints that these immigrants get are supposed to be for them, and they(immigrants) are taking them away. But this problem has been resolved by the Australian government. Unemployment rate was already addressed and skilled visa migration continues.
Although full-time jobs were cut, more companies offered part-time jobs for residents of Australia. Working hours were also cut down to give to those who can't find a job. This is just a clear proof that the government is persistent to give the jobs that people deserve.
According to a news, the unemployment rate in Australia remained static at 5.8%. This is an official figure from The Australian Bureau of Statistics. According to them, this jobless rate hasn't changed for almost three months now. Analyst then feared that by this time, Australia will be loosing 15,000 jobs but turned out the other way. This can be a positive change in Australian employment.
Sooner or later, the normal immigration to Australia will be back. They did not stop hiring workers from different parts of the world. They just tightened it which means they just became strict about it. You can be the chosen one depending on how you push for it. So there's no point to drop that dream and just cry instead. The crisis is near to its end, and the fight has just begun.
Australia is still a member of G20, a union of the 19 countries with high economic status, plus the European Union. They still belong to the group of countries with brighter future. People from inside and outside Australia shouldn't be worried about tomorrow. Australia already experienced the Great Depression in 1930's but they surmounted it. All that Australians need to do is to stay positive and always have a support of right actions, setting aside personal goals.

There was a sudden outspread of a pandemic virus that set the whole world into panic. It is the A(H1N1) virus. It threatened the entire globe, including the country down south called Australia. But this didn't halt immigration to Australia. It's all because, every immigrant is treated as visitor, until they become permanent, assuring them of medical and health care. So even if there is a platoon of viruses entering their borders, each citizen are protected with a medical and health insurance.
The Australian government provides every people in Australia a quality public treatment. So even if there's a menace to your health, the Health department of Australia is there to back you up. They don't fail to inspire native and international families to lend some of their money on a medical and health insurance. This is mostly offered to a permanent Australia visa holder.
Australia is advance in medical insurance. Australia Medicare is a government agency that offers the best services for every citizen's health. They provide a lot of support to different policy holders. The policy holder of an International Health Insurance can get benefits from any country. The Australian government has a well-arranged and more comprehensive payment coverage. This insurance policy comes as renewable. Seven Corners is a medical plan wherein, the holder has a worldwide access of health care. The government promotes the health insurance world wide via the OSHC or Overseas Student Health Cover scheme. This is to require Australian visa applicants to avail the insurance before they can get their visa. There are also other well known agency that can give you rebate and discounts and yet, best health care outcome.
The Health Insurance in Australia is somewhat different from Medical Insurance. This is offered by the government in the form of Medicare Scheme. The private health operator can provide insurance for covering the costs of being a private patient in a private or public clinic, medical costs of hospitalization, and expenditures of services not covered under Medicare such as ambulance, natural therapies and private dental care. There are also Health Insurance funds that provide infirmary covers and auxiliary covers or a combination of the two. Only health insurance funds registered under the National Health Care Act 1953 can provide you health insurance that you need. There are two types of health funds found: funds open to the general public and the restricted membership organization. The government also provides insurance aspirants with an agency that will help them on their inquiries and prevent fraud. The Private Health Insurance Ombudsman will deal with complaints or questions about any aspect of private health insurance and it is independent of the private health funds and health services providers.
Now, if you are planning to get a travel visa to Australia, but afraid of what might infect you, think again. The government made health and medical insurance a required part of you visa application to Australia to make you feel secured of your health and life throughout your stay in the country.

When you immigrate to Australia with your family, one of the first things that you should work for is the education of your children. It is every parent's primary obligation to give his/her kids quality education. If your desire is a brighter future for them, education is the way.
Education in Australia is a responsibility of the state and territories, but it varies state-wise from 15 to 17. It is compulsory to children of ages 6 to 16. It is regulated by the Australia Education System run by different each state. The system follows a three-tier models. This includes: primary education (Primary Schools), Secondary Education (High Schools/Secondary Schools) and Tertiary Education (in universities or TAFE Colleges or Technical and Further Education).
Pre-School is unregulated and not required, but early exposure of your children to activities like day care or a parent-run playgroup means a higher chance of advance learning. This is not generally considered schooling. It is separated from primary schools in all states except Western Australia and Queensland.
Primary and Secondary school is a requisite in Australia. Kids that age six to sixteen must be send to school for education. In Australia, about two third of the total number of students is educated by the Australian government, while the remaining portion studies in private schools.
Government schools are free. On the other hand, private schools, secular and religious asks for a tuition fee. Nevertheless, the curriculum is the same. Both government and private schools require uniforms for students.
Tertiary level or education is governed by the Australian Qualifications Framework or AQF, comprising both vocational and and higher education. It is made up of universities and other higher education provider. Providers are either a university, a self accrediting provider or a non self0accrediting provider. They need to be approved by the Australian government before they can receive grants, or their students receive assistance from the Australian government under the Higher Education Support Act 2003. They are all subjected to quality and accountability requirements.
As of 2009, Australian higher education system consists 41 universities wherein 37 from this is public, 2 are private and two are branches of overseas universities. There are 2 self accredited higher education institutions and 150 non self-accrediting higher education providers as listed on State and Territory Registers.
Higher Education is classified into:
1. Certificate, Diploma and Associate Degrees
2. Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science with a Diploma Education (DipEd)
3. Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma
4. Masters by Research, divided into First-class, Second Class subdivided into Division 1 and Division 2 and the Third Class
5. Doctor of Philosophy or Ph.D
6. Higher Doctorates, i.e. Doctor of Science (Dsc), Doctor of Letters (DLitt)
Education is one of the primary obligation by the Australian government. And so, they require each parent to bring their kids to school. Well, there is no parent that want his/her kid to grow illiterate. The Australian Education will merge with parents and students to bring quality education for a brighter future.

We are often confused between asylum seekers and refugee. Asylum seekers are people who want go for immigration to Australia seeking for an international protection, without an international visa. They are people whose claims of Protection Visa (PV) are not yet approved by the country where he/she submitted it. On the other hand, a refugee, based on the international law, is one who crosses an international border, being assessed and should meet the definition of refugee provided by the national government or an international agency like UNHCR or United Nations Higher Commission for Refugees. Not all asylum seekers will be recognized as a refugee, but all refugees are asylum seekers.
A refugee flies from another country for different reasons. It can be because a war is going on in their place or maybe because of racial discrimination. Can also be for religious reason or a political opinion. But most of the time, these reasons are just masks for a darker reason like wanting to be in Australia without applying for an Australia visa.
Every year, the number of refugees in Australia increases. From 500 in 1989, now it has blown to more than 15,000.
In Australia, the government has an obligation to protect the human rights of both asylum seekers and refugees, whether they have a visa or not. They are given assistance until the Australian law make an approval to let them stay in the country. Once they meet the definition of refugee, they won't be force to go back to the country where their rights, freedom and security are threatened. Refugees will undergo a period of assessment to see if they are qualified or deserving to live in Australia.
They are assisted financially so they can have food, accommodation and basic health care. They are also given professional assistance for processing their Protection Visa application. They also get work rights and temporary eligibility. These are support provided by the Commonwealth of Australia and ASA Scheme or Asylum Seeker Assistance.
But before you become eligible for assistance, you must be able to meet their criteria.
* first, you must have lodged a Protection Visa
* not in detention
* you are holding a bridging or other visa
* not eligible for either Commonwealth or overseas government income support and
* your not a partner or sponsored fiance of a permanent resident
Not all refugees or asylum seekers meet the definition of refugee, but they still have another option. They won't be sent back to the country they came from, instead, they can apply to Minister for Immigration to request that he/she is exercising his/her personal discretion to issue a visa under Section 417 of the Migration Act 1958.
Asylum seekers are welcomed to Australia with compassion. But still, your dream of a good life will be interrupted first many times. Doing this kind of activity is not advisable. You should prefer the legal way. A visa for Australia is still the best way to enter the country, without getting into trouble.

With the countless people trying to get a travel visa to Australia yearly, scammers are surely going to appear and to take advantage of the situation. And being one of their victims is definitely not a good experience. Not only you lose your chance to go abroad, but you also lose a large amount of money along the way.
So, it is only natural for you to be advised to stay away from them. But of course, you need to know how to spot when a scam occurs to avoid it. Here are some of the most prevalent scams targeting visa applicants nowadays and also some useful tips on how to avoid them.
The most common scammers that you will encounter are those that roam around or near the vicinity of the embassy. They usually offer you a wide range of services, from getting your application stamped for processing to actually getting it approved for interview. While many of the small offers, such as stamping of documents and signing are indeed real (and very fast for that matter) you'll find out later on that these are in fact costlier than just waiting in line to have your documents processed.
These small ones are somewhat harmless, albeit taking a large chunk off your wallet. What you do need to watch out for, however, are those guys claiming that they can get your paper through to the consul right then and there. The truth is, no one except authorized personnel can go beyond the processing booths. So these are unlikely to provide even a small bit of what they offer.
A much larger scam involves people posing as immigration lawyers and offering their services to applicants. They often present various documents, many of which are probably fake, as proof that they are indeed legitimate. As their operation goes, everything starts out as a normal consultation and assistance in filing the application. However, the hopeless victim will soon find out that he is being charged by the scammer for unexplainable fees, without any results showing. In the end, he will be duped of a large amount of cash without even getting a chance to talk with the consul.
Another mode of operations that scammers often use is the “get a visa quickly” scheme. This one is usually done through the internet, though not uncommon on land. The scam goes by offering victims the chance to get a visa without actually having to file for one. This offer is indeed very much tempting that many can easily fall for them.
The most common feature that many of these scams share is that they ask money for “processing”. However, as you should already know, the required fees for processing of visa applications should be paid directly to the embassy by the applicant himself. Another thing that you should take watch is that these scammers will very often ask for additional fees without issuing a receipt. The moment the consultant asks you for additional fees that our not mentioned in the initial deal, then it would be a good idea to find a new one.
Once you know how these schemes work, you will be able to finds ways how to stay clear of them. However, you still need be very alert, as scammers will surely try to find new ways to trick you.

Are you now holding your visa for Australia to meet your partner there? Have you planned your future and life in Australia with him? If you choose Australia as your settling place, having your own property would give you an advantage. It lessens your bills and other expenses, especially if you want to have kids. Renting is a forever burden without getting anything. But if you invest in owning a property, you will save a lot.
An Australian online news site called www.news.com.au mentioned four steps or guide that we should consider when buying a property in Australia. This guide will make it easier for us to choose where and when to buy property, plus we can be assured that we are investing on the right one. This is approved by the Australian government. These four steps are things that we must do or perform rightfully before buying a property.
First of the four steps is, do your research. You should know first why you want to buy. This involves a huge money. So you must really have a valid purpose so your hardwork won't just end up wasted. You should find the right size, what was it for, townhouse or permanent house, is it just an apartment or something else. Hire a real estate agent and develop a good relationship with him/her. The more research you do, the more you are apt to succeed on your goals.
Second step is, work out how much you can afford. Be observant of your budget. The amount of properties will vary with different lenders. You can try another if you failed on the first try. Don't forget to consider the following costs: legal fees, loan establishments fees, government charges, property inspection fees, moving costs and building and contents insurance. These are fees that will affect you on financing.
Third step is, find a lender while or before looking for your property. Do some research to arrive on what or who is the best lender that offers the best mortgage interest rates. There are many loans available, all you gotta do is research to understand the terms and features. Once you are done with this you can now go onto the buying process.
The last step is the buying process. This is after you performed the first three steps. You have found the property you want, agreed with a broker. Now negotiate the price up to the lowest of the offer. Contact your solicitor to do little or body corporate searches, then arrange it to exchange with the seller until both parties are satisfied. Then continue with the purchase. There are six weeks between exchange and settlement. So during this time, you may arrange insurance on the property and income insurance protection for yourself. You need to check or inspect that no damage has been done to property in the whole period and all fixtures and fitting are still in place. Never settle to the place until all conditions have been met.
